Early in the AM on my 50th birthday (7/12/2020) an email from my Chicago-based former bandmate Duro Wicks that our DJ (Chicago house music legend Lora Branch, "DJ Rapture" in He Who Walks Three Ways) had digitized these tracks from cassette that we recorded between 1991-1994. I have some of them on cassette. but had lost others when I moved to Oakland, California in December 1998.

The songs are from two EPs "Check Your Lips At The Door (Summer 1992)
and "Me, IBM and The Baby Jesus (Spring 1994) self-released with the intent of submission as "demos" ( a phrasology/contextualization I was resistant to even then) to major and independent record labels.

"Who Got Biglips?" was the tag/chant of our crew/production company Biglip that hosted the now steeped in Woodstockian mythology "$3 Sunday Hip Hop Show (January-July 1992) at the legendary performance and poetry venue Club Lower Link. We had the luck of getting WGN-TV to shoot a "Chicago's Very Own" segment- hosted by Roseanne Tellez (now an anchor on WFLD-TV, a Fox affiliate).

They caught a bit of us performing "Lips" during the party that you can watch here:
